My 2000 Nissan Altima radiator is
leaking. I need to replace it or fix it. My friend told me that I can
fix it by some sort of welding if its a metal radiator. Is it true? If I
have to replace it how much would it cost for labor and parts?
Answer: You have
plastic tanks with a metal core. If you are getting a leak on the tank
(at the top or bottom of the radiator) then you need to replace the
radiator. Nissan will charge you anywhere from $500-$800 installed.
There are lower-cost non-Original Equipment radiators that can be had
for less but are of lesser quality.
