I have an 2007 Mazda cx7 and it’s making rattling sound on cold start. Does anyone knows what would cause that sound?
Answer: I suspect two separate possible causes. First, and most likely, a exhaust heat sheet is rattling. Theses can be any where along the exhaust even near the engine. Second, it could be low on oil or the oil pressure could be low. If you are inclined, crawl around and look for loose heat shield but make sure the car has not run for a long time or your burn yourself badly. Second make sure the oil is full and then get the oil pressure checked.
