I want to know how remove the backseat bench and the backrest on a 1998 Buick Regal, so i can get to the seat belts. Can some one please help me?

Answer: Push against the upper front edge of the lower seat cushion, down and towards the back at the same time. This may take some effort, especially if it hasn’t been out in a while. Brace yourself and position yourself to get some leverage. Once it moves back an inch or two, lift up and then forward.
Once you have that out, there are a pair of bolts into the floor pan holding the backrest in, but you should be able to access the seat belts without taking that out. If you do still want to take it out, after removing the bolts, you need to slide the backrest up an an inch or two, then you can pull it forward and out.
You may have to maneuver past and/or remove some armrests and/or window cranks to fully remove the backrest. While you have it off, check the back side of the backrest. There may be a “build sheet” stuck between the springs and the cushioning material.
