1999 Mazda Millenia Factory Radio |
I just bought a used 99′ Mazda Millenia and it still has the factory radio, I keep trying to pull the damn thing out using my radio removal prongs but it won’t come out, all I’m doing is tearing up the radio and car. What am I doing wrong? are there any tutorials on how to do it. I’ve already tried YouTube’s and Ehow’s but neither of them worked for me.
Answer: Remove the thin plastic strips on each side of the radio, and insert 2 sets of din tools. The ones that work the best are the ones with what appear to be little balls on the ends. When you insert each tool, you will feel it lock into place. then, at the same time, pull outward on the tools, and slightly wiggle the radio, while slightly pulling it out. all you need to do is just start it out, then you can remove the din tools, and finish up with your hands. if the spring clips holding the radio in are broke, then you will have to pull the bezel, and reach in behind there and press each clip. to remove the faux wood surround, you have to start way back at the console storage, take out the black plastic inside, then work your way to the front. after you pull off all the faux wood, you will be able to reach behind, and the radio will come out. Been there, done that.
