How can I replace the left rear passenger window in a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 400E? Can I replace the glass without replacing the regulator if I plan on never using that window?
Answer: Sure, you can remove the regulator if you really want to. You would have to weld/secure a stopper in each of the glass channels to keep the window glass in the fully closed position. Just for your information, if you plan on ever selling this car though, not having a working rear window will hurt resale value.
