I need to know where the fuel filter on my 1989 Dodge Ramcharger and how hard it is to install a new carburetor and how hard it is to get to the fuel pump.
The carburetor
I have on there is a holey two barrel (1R 3443 8 are the the numbers I
found on it) is there something I should know about this particular
carburetor? Does anyone know where I can get a good but inexpensive (not
cheap but not expensive) carburetor? anything you could help with would
be of great help.Thanks.
Answer: The fuel pump is on the left side of the timing cover easiest to access from underneath the fuel filter
should be right there also.Most community’s have a local carb shop it
shouldn’t cost you a grand or even 200.00.If you don’t have a local guy
try the local parts house or autozone or checker.Also if cost is a
factor there is always the bone yard.
