I need to know the exact location of the ECU and the MAP sensor on a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.0L SOHC V6. Thanks for your help.
Answer: They moved them around in the Ford Explorer from year to year it seems. I believe yours is center of firewall under hood. Has 10mm bolt holding the wiring harness to it. Harness pin connector is like 1.5 inch thick and 4 or 5 inches wide. Not hard to spot.
You don’t have a MAP sensor you have a MAF sensor. It is located either in the air filter housing or inline between the air filter housing and the air intake hose.
