I am replacing the ECU in my 1999 Honda Civic. Do I have to re-program anything? Or is it a simple swap out?

Answer: No you don’t have to reprogram anything, its a simple swap out, just make sure you match out the same ecu (also make sure if your car is manual or auto, you match that to the ecu or else you will throw a code and have a CEL on constantly).

In this example it’s a P04 ecu, if you have a 1999 Honda Civic DX/LX you will need a P2E ecu, if you have a HX you will need a P2N, EX = P2P, and Si is P2T.
