My 1993 Dodge Caravan,
ABS and power assist to the brakes stops working? Every now and then
the ABS and Brake lights come on and I loose my ABS and power assist to
the brakes. Then maybe a week later the
lights go off and the brakes work fine. This cycle has been going on for
a few months now. Any idea as to what the problem might be?
Answer: The abs has nothing to do with the booster. Check for proper vacuum or it’s the diaphragm inside the booster
that is bad, usually caused by a leaking master cylinder. I suggest
taking it to a reputable repair facility and let a professional diagnose
the problem for you.
