What would make an ABS brake light come on the dash of a 1997 Chevrolet Malibu? I have an 1997 Chevrolet Malibu and every once in a while the ABS brake
light comes up on my dash and then it will go out for a day or so and
then come back on again. Can somebody give me any ideas about it?
Answer: Anti-lock
Breaking Systems or ABS is computer controlled. It is performing a
continuous check on itself to assure proper operation in case of an
accident. An intermittent ABS light
may be a minor issue but should be looked at immediately given it’s
importance. The potential failures are numerous so I can’t guess. Good
