Black 1996 Chevrolet Astro Van Right Front View |
I have an 1996 Chevrolet Astro in which the abs light is on. I checked wheel sensors and found a wire which was damaged and was shorted against the frame of the vehicle.
Should I just replace the wheel speed sensor and wire to it or do you
think the abs module is now damaged and will need replacing also. Any
advice would be extremely helpful! Thank you in advance!
Answer: I had a line cut in a blazer
once and spliced it. I later found out you’re not supposed to do that.
Personally I wouldn’t go much beyond replacing the damaged part. Even if
the ABS module was damaged, it’d be expensive to replace. ABS doesn’t
make that big of a difference anyway. Just go back to pumping the brakes when sliding.
