How can I reset an ABS light on a 1999 BMW 528I? The speedometer stopped working and the abs light and traction control lights are on I just wanted to know if I can retrieve the codes or at least clear the codes without going to the dealer.
Answer: All interconnected ABS needs to see speedometer signal Traction control compares road speed to drive shaft speed. So you have to fix the one item common to all three problems. Mt thought is the speedometer sensor in the transmission tali housing or the gear that turns it.
