"1998 Mazda 626 ABS Problems"

I have a 1998 R plate Mazda 626. The ABS light suddenly came on and the problem was a faulty ABS modulator. The car has 130 K on the clock. It works perfectly and I would like to keep it, but the cost of the part is £ 1000! although I find the net for the switch-yard.

Has anyone had this problem with Mazda 626? Any experience or advice would be welcome.

Answer: The car should be fine. Just the abs system will not work so your vehicle will basically act like a vehicle without abs braking.
