Silver 2004 Mazda 6i |
How do you change the back brakes on a 2004 Mazda 6i? I’ve replaced front brake pads before on lots of different cars, but I’ve heard the rear disk brakes operate differently.
Answer: It’s the same as the front when they are
rear disc. f it is a brake drum, then it will be tough to fix. A friend
of mine spent hours trying to change the rear drum brakes. You need special tools to change the rear brakes. Or a hammer and lots of energy. I would spend the extra money and have it done for me.
The only things I would do myself are oil change, air filter, tire rotation, and front brakes.
Note: Not all cars use Brake drums in the rear. Some cars have the same type of brakes in the front, which is a rotor and brake pad.
