"Dealing with Overheating Engine on 1995 BMW 525i"

1995 BMW 525i Engine

Recently I bought a 1995 BMW 525i, the car runs good but on my way home while driving it, it started to overheat and smoking through the engine. So me and my friend went to autozone and filled the radiator with coolant. The radiator was empty before; then we noticed that it was leaking through the bottom, my question is, where could it be leaking from, what could the damage be from driving it and it overheating, and really anything else. I probably drove it around 6 miles before it began to smoke.  How much would it cost to fix it?

Answer: It could had been low on coolant. But will be saying it had a problem. The raditor could have holes in or the tanks. The hoes and lines. Freez plugs. Head gaskets and intake gasket. Water pump. You will had to do some looking or better take it to a mechanic and get him to check it out. It should been checked out by a mechanic before you paid for it. Normal sale you have 30 days. Unless you brought as is. And thing can happen to a vehicle at anytime. Hope it is just a water pump or a hose. The T-stat should be replaced if the overheating happen again. The raditor cap should be checked for the proper pressure. This will let a car overheat.
