"Front Brake Pad Replacement 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320"

Silver 1995 Mercedes Benz E320

Can anyone help me tho replace the front brake pad on my 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320? this is my first time D.I.Y. Just need some guidance. Took the tire off, and now not sure how to get the housing for the brake pads off.

Answer: Best bet is to buy the Haynes manual for $20,00 you’ll get a lot of value out of the book. If you look at the “inside” of the saddle, you’ll see a bolt near the bottom which, when removed, allows the saddle to swing upward, off of the disc. Use a coat hanger to hold it out of your way, and removal of the pads will be obvious. Replace the new pads, using also some anti squeal, then go up top and remove the brake fluid filler cap, put a clean cloth over the open reservoir to keep dust out, then go back below and use a couple of long end wrenches to pry the new pads apart, to increase the width of the opening. Now the saddle will swing back down. Remove the coat hanger, swing the saddle into place, and replace the locking bolt. Do the other side, replace the brake cap, and you’re good for another 100K miles.
