Where is the oil filter on a mercedes sprinter 208, 1998? I just bought a Mercedes Sprinter its an r reg which is 1998, and not sure were the oil filter is, I need to find it and clean it.
Answer: Under the large
black plastic cap which requires a special tool to remove (available at
DIY car shops) it is a paper element. Your new one should come with a
large and small rubber washer, remember to swop them. It is a fairly
simple DIY job, you can clean all the old oil out from the bottom of the
filter housing with a clean rag or tissue.
