"How To Reset The Seatbelt Warning Light on 1996 Toyota RAV4"

1996 Toyota RAV4

The seatbelt warning light on my 1996 Toyota RAV4 is stuck on – it is constantly illuminated when the car engine is on, even though my seatbelt is on and latched. Just recently, the handbrake warning light has also become stuck on and is constantly illuminated, even though the handbrake is off. Is there a quick and cheap ‘Do It Yourself’ way I can fix this? I am selling the car shortly and would like to fix the warning light issue for the benefit of the car’s next owner. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

Answer: I would say that it’s not recomended but if you unplug the wire under your seat to the belt buckle, it should come off, as for brakes your fluid level is low it may have a leaking line or may need brakes.
