I just picked up 2010 Forester 5 spd MT. The clutch pedal seems further back than the brake. I asked the dealer if the pedal could be raised, he said ‘no’. If I have my seat close enough to fully depress clutch, my knees hit the underside of the steering column! Is there any aftermarket modifications that can be attached to pedal to make it higher?

Answer: No matter how you move the clutch pedal your going to have to be able to push it all the way to the floor. You can try lowering your seat if possible. If that doesn’t work then you’re probably out of luck. You can also try those clip on pedal covers which will make the pedal about .5″ thicker so you don’t have to push it down so much.
