"2000 Nissan Xterra: How to Recalibrate Speedometer"

2000 Nissan Xterra Dasboard

I have an 2000 Nissan Xterra and I am putting bigger tires. I am looking for a speedometer recalibrater, can’t seem to find one for the 1st generation Xterra by online. Does anybody know how to recalibrate it or where I can find a recalibrater?
Answer: The stock speedometer reads 5 to 10% fast so recalibration may not be as much a problem as you think. There are electronic speed modifiers and the old traditional change the gear on the speed sender method. Stock Xterra does not accept larger tires with out rubbing in front while turning. So better get that 4″ body lift installed or NO FEAR Pro Comp Suspension set up on there first.
