What size exhaust does a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado with a 4.3L have? I measured the tailpipe and it came out to 2.75″ inches, and I think the whole system is the same size as the tailpipe. But I haven’t seen any aftermarket mufflers or exhaust systems in that size. What do they consider it?

Answer: You’re tail pipe may be larger than the rest of the exhaust. After running an Auto Zone for 4 years though, I can tell you they DO make mufflers in that size.
