"1990 Honda Prelude: OBD2 Plug Location"

Black 1990 Honda Prelude Left View

Does 1990 Honda Prelude have an OBD2 plug? If yes, where is it located? I checked under the steering wheel and at the top left part of the engine compartment. Thank you!

Answer: You won’t find one. a 1990 is OBD I. usually the codes are read on the PCM as a blinking LED. The pcm is located under the carpet on the right front floor. You’ll get a series of flashes from the led. there are about 9 different codes. The most common is the oxygen sensor code. Most of the models have a two pin connector behind and to the front of the right kick panel (under the right side of the dash to the right of where the passenger’s feet would be). If you have that connector you can jump the two terminals and then turn the key on and get the blink code from watching the check engine light flash long and short flashes.
hope that helps
