2004 Honda Odyssey |
I recently washed my 2004 Honda Odyssey, and when I washed the tires, I saw an area of bubbles in the alloy wheel covers. I realized that there is water under a thin, transparent film. All 4-wheel-cover has signs of peeling. Any idea what can I do?
Answer: Yes, but there are a lot of elbow grease.
You could take a washtub, 5 gallons of acetone, and medium steel wool
and get to work. Have removed the rim first place pour into the washtub,
enough acetone to cover the wheel and wait overnight. put a blanket over the pan to slowly rob evaporation. You a clear coat with steel wool.
This is very flammable and the fumes intoxicating and dangerous, so be sure and ventilation. Rubber gloves are optional.
It’s a job, but if I had known this trick would be in the military camp, life in the body have been much easier. We had to strip paint buy a lot of bronze hands, and that is to try what we do, it’s just aluminum. This method is the most cost $ 50 to 75 products for all 4 wheels.
The only way to know that I would have blasted them with plastic beads, but it would cost a few hundred.
No method of cost figures hangs the balance.
Good luck
