2003 White Toyota Camry |
I want to get an ECU plug for my 2003 Toyota Camry, where can I get
one? The car is automatic, its the 4 cylinder 190 horsepower. My
mechanic says you can tune the horsepower with the right plug and right
software on any computer. Where can I find these?
Answer: You would need a piggy back ecu, a reflash,
or a standalone to tune your ignition, and a/f ratio. On a unmodded
camry it’s not worth the money. Just advance the timing a few degrees to
get free horsepower, just be weary of detonation. To advance the timing
just find the distributor and rotate it, which way? That is something
you are going to have to consult with a service manual for that. Mine is
rotated towards the firewall but i have and acura. You want to advance
2-3 degrees. You can get a few horsepower out of that. Like I said if
you hear any pinging or knocking don’t advance it so much.
