"The Best ECU Performance Chip Available for an 2007 Honda Civic si"

Blue 2007 Honda Civic si Left Side View

So I have had the 2007 Honda Civic si sedan for four months now, I think it’s time to continue booting the performance. I already have a cold air and an exhaust system, people are telling me to aim for chips, so which is the best?
Answer: Well dont chip it you want a standalone ECU such as AEM or Hondata. If you have the money go with Moots, but just be prepared no base map is shipped and there is no easy tune. Best bang for the buck is AEM, Or get a hold of Xenocrom tuning. The Si computers are pretty much tuned already and if all you have is an Exhaust and a CAI, don’t waste your money. Now if you are running under boost or ITB’s, Bisimoto cams, adj cam gears, etc… Then start thinking about a ECU swap. I ran a P28 Stock ECU on my Civic running Custom ITB’s a custom ground cams from Web-Cam Skkunk2 cam gears Bisimoto header, Stage 3 head from Exospeed, and only gained 20HP when I switched from factory ECU to a Hondata, and it took over 4 hours on a Dyno.
