| 2001 Volvo S40 On The Road View |
I think the 2001 Volvo S40 has disc brakes,
and without really looking at it a mechanic guessed it would cost 500
bucks to replace the pads on all 4 wheels. Is this about right, or what? Also, is this a one hour job, or a leave the car for a day job?
Answer: At the dealer I work for brake pads are $150 per axle installed. So you would be looking at $300 plus tax. $500 seems high. A good mechanic that knows Volvo’s should be able to do the jobs in an hour to an hour and a half.
